In many traditions the full moon is a time for reflection, release and new intentions. Our Full Moon Sound Meditation Retreat in Rishikesh honours that moment with a ceremony under the open Himalayan sky.
As the sun sets, the evening begins with a sacred Agni fire ceremony. As the moon rises, you practise trataka – traditional moon-gazing meditation – before lying back for a gong and singing bowl immersion beside the Ganga, under the light of the full moon.
Join for the ceremony night alone, or stay longer and let the days around it prepare and integrate the experience. Every full moon sound bath is guided by founder Gaurav Mishra in a small, respectful group.

You can choose a 1, 3, 5 or 7-day Full Moon Sound Meditation Retreat. Longer stays give you more time to rest and to build a practice you can continue at home.
No. Every Umang retreat is open to complete beginners. No yoga, meditation or musical experience is needed.
Classes are taught in English and Hindi.

Sound healing is gentle and safe for most people. Please inform us in advance if you are pregnant, have epilepsy, a pacemaker or metal implants, or a serious mental-health condition. Sound healing is a complementary practice and does not replace medical treatment.
